As a "relatively vibrant" female in the half-a-decade-older than you category, and after many, many trips solo, I am going to try a jamu class this year. The classes sound interesting, and wouldn't it be great to make up one's own concoctions at home? However, my daughter says she will disown me if I take to trailing around the local market at home with a jar of indescribable liquid balanced atop a flattened towel turban on my head!

For information, you could try the following link, but I'm not sure it will work. http://baliherbalwalk.com

If that hasn't worked, you could try a Google based on "Herb Walks Bali".

When and where will you be in Bali? If our trips coincide, perhaps we could meet up at some point for a Bintang (or equivalent) or two?

Hati hati.
