The sun has finally decided to pay a visit! But more on that in a sec.
Day 6.
Dinner (last night) at Moo Moo's. Really craving a steak. The staff were lovely from start to finish.
Ordered a 200g rib fillet for 139k which includes sauce + sides.
This was just beautiful. Perfect serving size (for a small eater). Steak cooked perfectly and everything on the plate was just yum.
Daiquri was 50k and also delish. Everyone around seemed to also be enjoying their meals.
Day 7.
You won't believe it, I almost couldn't, but I woke up to sunlight peeking through my window. Finally :)
Quick breakie then off to McCafe for a coffee (again lovely) which I get poured from my cup into a takeaway so I can walk along the beach.
Walking along kuta beach when about 5 camera happy tourists come up to me:
'you? photo!? please?'
'sure' *thinking that they want me to take their photo*
'no!! you in photo..' *ah, yes the 'pale aussie skin' is what they want*
So I happily smile for a couple of photos, these ladies are absolutely ecstatic. I look to the left and right, and I kid you not, about 15 more are running at me with their cameras.
'Glasses on, okay now with glasses off, peace sign, hug me'
Fifteen minutes later, I manage to continue my walk.
Head up towards seminyak way in search of The Deck to make a booking for the seafood buffet on tuesday. After finding old favourites which I will hopefully go to soon (seaside, zanzibar), find the deck and make a booking (requires a 100k deposit). Continue walking and reach 66 and head into seminyak. I have never been to seminyak before so it is great to look around.
Find a lovely boutique called Don't Be Jealous which is actually owned by an Australian and his Balinese wife. Nice close and reasonable prices. Also an A/C haven after 2 hours of walking.
Catch a cab back to kuta.
Return home to find my laundry on my bed, which had only been picked up from my room at 10am. 21 pieces for 38k. Delicate top which I was worried about looks fine. Everything smells fresh and it was so convenient. I then head straight into the pool with my blow up swim ring and a book. After 2 hours of walking in the sun, I don't realise, but I am quite 'pink'. This is then complimented by a further 2 hours in the sun, in the pool. Ouchies for later!
Have lunch by the pool at satriya.
Garlic bread, steak sandwich, large aqua and grasshopper cocktail =
153k. Such great value. Head out onto poppies 1 out the back gate of satriya for a wander. Find 'Inner Glow' spa on Jl. Pantai for their 1hr sunburn treatment with banana leaves and gooey goodness. 100k. I think it has helped -_-
Head back into the Bagus Watch shop in Kuta square to see if they have more tiffany&co bangles. I bought a gorgeous one yesterday for 65k. Plain silver bangle with the tiffany&co marking. They had no more in stock of this kind so I just bought the one. Was hoping they may have had more in today but no luck. A great find though, much nicer than many of the other tiffany bracelets they had stocked.
Dinner time now and I really can't be bothered getting money changed tonight so I think I will head to Bali Agung for tea.
Although the wet weather hadn't really stopped me from doing too much, today's sunshine really made it feel like Bali :)
Ta ta from Bali :)
