Hi Shazza, we had a great stay at the Baleka end of 2011 in the older deluxe rooms, these are much better than the new deluxe rooms that are alongside the pool. Most of the new deluxe rooms have a dining area at the front, if you remove table there would be room for an extra bed. The older deluxe rms have a small kitchenette and dining area, they also have a good size single daybed with another tv (Tv in main bedroom as well, bedroom closes off from kitchen/dining/tv area ). We got my 12 yr old son and 6 yr old son to use the daybeds as their beds. Depending on how big your teenager is this could be an option for you. The mattress was pretty thin so wouldn't be good for my now 14yr old big son. These rooms also have an outdoor shower, plus another shower over bath inside. I would email the hotel direct and request the 'older deluxe rooms with kitchenettes'. They only show photos of the new deluxe rooms on hotel booking sites. We had 2 of these rooms interconnecting for our family of 6. So had 4 tv's, 2 kitchens, 4 showers, plenty of room and IMHO much better than the 2 bedroom family apartment. My sister and her 5 kids have done the same and asked for one dining table to be removed, and the staff put down a very comfortable double mattress for the extra kids.
Breakfast was an average buffet, eggs cooked fresh were great, fruit simple and good, pastries inedible, few cereal choices. Overall, its good value for the price you pay.
Entrances on both ends Werkedura and Padma Utara, cut through Ramada K to get to beach quickly. Great location, my boys played a lot of pool at Boomerang cafe next door. We would stay here again if looking for a cheap option, but are total villa converts!
