thanks - I have not bothered with sim in the past and just used wifi but this next trip in two weeks we are staying at a small place that does not have wifi and I like to catch up with news, events, email etc early in the morning. I get up way before everyone else in our party and enjoy my cups of coffee and ipad so if someone is able to answer my original question it would be much appreciated
