In October, we just had to ring them the day before to confirm, then payment was made on our way out after the food and drink.
It would have been very easy to leave without paying though, I did think that at the time, as it was such chaos. Maybe that's happened and it's a new policy? Might also stop a lot who book and don't show, since there were a few empty tables around the place.
