because it is an offence to lie. I would rather declare it than suffer the consequences of lying on an immigration form.I took food and tea bags and listed all and was just asked about the food and waved through.
It was much quicker as the 'nothing to declare' line was very long and some luggage was being searched. Only a few people went through the 'declaring' channel.
