When I refused, they kept pointing to the poster on the wall with a list of things that you couldnt bring in, what I had was not on that list. When I stood my ground, one of the blokes asked me why did I declare it if it was something allowed in? He told me that you only declare things you have to pay 'duty' on.
On the honey issue, you can only bring honey into Western
Australia if it's been heat-treated and you have a certificate to prove it. This is because European Foulbrood Disease which kills bees can be in the honey and WA is free of it.
