Bubba Gumps is actually the only family oriented restaurant I know of... But you have several nice restaurants in the area.
People rave about the Bali Garden restaurant, Boardwalk, but I find the food fairly average... It's an easy dinner though in a nice environment. I ate quite a few lunches there though.
Ifiori just across the road and slightly south is nice but not a bargain restaurant.
Batan Waru just to the right as you walk out the front of Bali Garden is really nice and the staff are good with kids.
Queens Of India is also right but down the road a few hundred meters, nice food.
I really enjoy Bluefin Japanese to the left and a few hundred meters up the road on the other side. Bit expensive though.
Flapjacks is next to it, the kids would love pancakes and stuff.
Stadium Cafe is on the other side of Bluefin and it has lots of western style food and TVs if the dads want to watch some sport and the kids can feed the fish out the back of the restaurant in Ramayana gardens.
Pizza Hut is just at the front of Discovery Mall to the right when exiting Bali Garden, if the kids need some pizza. Their menu is quite extensive compared to Australian Pizza Hut. I really enjoyed their garlic mushroom entree and their fruit smoothies.
Hope this helped. I'll be at Bali Garden mid Sept but most of my dining will be Legian and Seminyak this time.
