Just back from Bali on Sunday, and airport screening fellow asked us to show him the bottle in our bag, and it was my three quarter full bottle of Jack Daniels. He was saying it wasn't okay as it was open, and I thought straight away of the 'scam' that forum people have mentioned, and I said to him "it should be okay, it's going in our checked in luggage, not carry on" and he was "checked in? not carry on? Ok, but it isn't good as the bottle seal is broken, and if the alcohol leaks, it could be a fire hazard, as alcohol and fire are not good in a plane" and I agreed, especially when I'm on the plane, and he just asked us to have that particular bag wrap sealed by the plastic blokes. It cost a measly couple of dollars, and actually protected my duffle bag better anyway, so it was okay to bring it back, and he was very friendly and helpful about it, and I totally believed him. I didn't feel like he was trying to do anything but his job.
