Dewi Sri - budget but nice, close to clubbing, mixed crowd
White Rose - also nearby apparently has a lovely upgrade villa is price is no option (I saw pics and my niece said it was awesome), top floor of the 101 hotel with pool access is also very party scene and nice room (I took a peek last visit).(none of these are particularly close to the beach approx 5-10 min walk)

If money isnt an option then Hard Rock, Kuta Seaview are along the strip at the end of poppies II and are opposite the beach and a bit pricier (consequently 5-10 min walk to the clubs). but if you are like most youngies who like to stop off at alley cat and enjoy the walk to the clubs this shouldnt be an issue (I would warn here that be extra careful of your valuables on the trip home as pick pockets frequent the area in the early hours looking for easy picks). It is so easy to grab a cab or bike on the way home and stop for late night Maccas that I wouldnt worry about being too close to the clubs.

I havent stayed at the hard rock but I did spend a day there and the pool area is pretty awesome and it is in a great position really.

I would be hesitant to swim in the Bounty pool (if you get my drift) but it definatly has a lot of party atmosphere, the Satriya is not far from the Bounty and does have some upgrade delux rooms. This is a sweet little hotel but not sure it would meet your needs as many of the balinese rooms dont have that real "clean" feel unless they are brand new hotels or just refurbished. Check it out on their websites and see what takes your fancy.
