to answer. It is now the middle of the dry season and it rained quite heavily today.
I've been to Bali a number of times and found that the weather doesn't play much part in my enjoyment (or not) of my holiday...nor do things like the exchange rate or which colour ATM you use.
I'd suggest your friend will enjoy irrespective.
