you were the one that warned me about this!!! I believe if you make a fool of me once shame on you. Make a fool of me twice shame on me and I did indeed get taken for a fool once, just a small amount but nevertheless in the words of the great Manuel "I learn, I learn". Later when his Dad needed an urgent operation and when his little house in Madurah fell down I did become strangely impervious to his pleading, and pleading and pleading by text!
You also tuned up my pronunciation of "Jangan" "Dengan" etc. and I am eternally greatfull to you for raising your voice, well slightly yelling really, because it stuck in my mind.
Now, if you could yell at me one day about the "ng" sound at the beginning of a word that would be helpful as I still have difficulty with it. I got it spectacularly right on the beach once and all my friends were most effusive in their praise. Trouble was I had a bad cold at the time and a lump of God knows what in my throat co-operated just at the right time and I have been unable to reach those dizzy heights since.
A group of Aboriginal people in my taxi once tried to teach me to say that same sound in their language but having a clear nose I failed however we had a hysterical half hour trip before they gave up in disgust...
