Day 6
You know when something is that good that you are overcome with emotion and want to cry? Well for us two silly biaches today was one of those days. Slogged our guts out getting the laundry done (lol) and once that chore was out the way we were off to treat ourselves to our spa package which came highly recommended by our travel agent. It was to the munaro spa off Jl Kunti. A bit out the way but if you need or want two hours of something out of this world, trot your frame into this establishment. We both had the facial and reflexology. Two hours in total. There was nothing monotonous about this. Not like those hair cream baths that go on and on and on and on. Softness, meditation, appreciation and living in the moment right there. That's the feeling of being so grateful. Hoping that what you do for others and feel so good about is what this is for the ladies who do this job which is hard work. I've noted as I am an avid people watcher and I analyse and observe everything, that the skilled masseurs go into deep meditation themselves. You may not know this or feel it but they connect with you on a spiritual level. They are guided to heal which they do. I had my moment and it was magical and nurturing and I felt truly blessed. I'm not going to go on and on but BFF looked and me and said " I could cry". Yup. Right with you.
Ok whilst we are on the path of self indulgence ( but in a good and giving way that is balanced and appreciated) we head to Biku. Oh perlu is on the way but we won't talk about that little detour right now ok. I've heard about this place and booked to go for my 40 th but couldn't make it as dear mother was unwell. Today was our second chance. It's charming and reminded me of my growing up days influenced by British India. The tea cups, dolly doily tea pot coseys and the high tea is just every wanna be ladys dream. Each and every moment was savored and if you haven't done this and like the sound of a marriage between everything that is perfect and shiny but rustic and charming then this is it. Could have sat and looked and browsed and shopped for another two hours but this place is busy and there was a que so we made room for others and that's when we ended up back at perlu - take three! How did that happen? There are some nice things in this shop. Pearls are my fave so it's not hard to pick a few pieces that are different and stunning. Got BFF into them this trip too so that is great!
We ended the day lateish today at cafe seminyak having a nasi goreng. Now this NG is small in size and flavorsome like you wouldn't believe.
Nice end to another perfect day.
Doesn't take the nannas long to be tucked up in bed having another natter. We secretly wished we were having some fun with the lady boys on laksama st or on the karaoke under our room doing a better job that the gals that were screeching like banshees! Ok here comes another whinge oh I mean comment. The Haven is very very noisy. I don't know how to explain it and it doesn't really matter but it's just loud. Great location and lovely staff so it isn't a problem.
