The duty is 35 cents plus GST, totaling 38.5 cents per cigarette. Therefore, 200 cigarettes = $77.00, plus the cost of the carton to buy in Bali.
The price of cigarettes has increased this week to around Rp130.000 to Rp150.000 per carton, depending on the brand, so now around $14 or $15 but I agree, still cheaper than buying retail in Australia.
