To Bali so often and mid/late wet season is out of the question for us anywhere in Asia.
both the wife and I have had Dengue and the blood tests in Australia showed previous dengue that we didnt even know we had!
We wasnt told the strain of either but had blood taken 3 times for cross checks.
I am hoping we have had the worst strain as the last one was really bad,the first time we must have just presumed a flu? and wouldnt have guessed dengue but the second time it was touch and go hospitalization for both of us :(

The most recent bout started with constant headaches,loss of appetite that resulted in any food tasting fowl for at least 2 weeks zero energy and pale skin that looked more like thin rice paper.
I cant remember ever feeling quite that unwell :(
