We were last in Bali 6 years ago, and our kids are now older... This means we will be able to do different things this time around.
We have never actually done the "beach" thing at Bali. Last time we stayed at Dynasty and spent our time around the pool, shopping, elephant rides, etc etc.
So this time we would like to hit the beach, do some surfing, relaxing, etc.
Can some of you fill me in on the best places to go, things to do on the beach near the Hard Rock, where we will be staying this time around? I gather there are some nice places to go around sunset for a drink and a nice view? How about massages, (wife and I are both sporties, so a good massage is always welcome!!) also meals on the beach? Are there some 'best' places to eat?
Also, are the any warnings for things to watch out for... Problems with beach sellers, etc.
Finally, is the surf any good on Kuta beach, just for the kids to learn surfing? It's one thing they wanted to do last time and missed out on. BTW, the kids are 12, 12. (yes, twins, one of each) and 16 year old boy.
