Day three
Broke a glass in the town houses and was charged 30,000 for this accident. We had an Indonesian friend (called K) visit us at the town houses and this was without incident I checked with the staff if we needed to 'pay' for him but the receptionist said you are three in a deluxe room normally it's four - today you will be four. So Mr 16 and K swam and thrashed each other on the PS3 at soccer.
Then in the evening K took Mr 16 to futsal. Our son has played yearly, each Monday night, that we are in Bali and all side trips are fine so long as he's in South Bali and accessible for Futsal, every Monday night. He scored two goals so he was happy BUT boy was he sore the following day and he paid for it!
We usually drink in a beach bar and have done for years and I always buy stacks of Australian stuff to give the owner to split with his family and staff that frequent that bar. Well needless to say that I spend a small fortune on stuff for the people on the beach which I do willingly but I get there and his wife tells me I need to buy her bracelets. (I have deliberately not mentioned names) Now I always tell her no and she insists and basically won't leave me in peace till I've bought them. So I reluctantly agree to buy one. She insists on selling me two and I have them made smaller for a little friend I have back home. I them ask the price 'you pay what you like' she says so I give her 20,000 for the two she refuses to take it tells me that they are 20,000 each as they are 'crystal'. They are f*cking plastic and I don't even want them!!!! So I refuse to do the deal. Hubby then decides that I must to pay her, her requested amount. So I hand her the money and tell her that I will never buy her bracelets again (and I won't) and that my husband is paying her as I refuse to. Well interestingly enough I had a chat with the bracelet sellers hubby and told him I wouldn't be buying her bracelets ever again. I classed them as friends and to be ripped off just leaves our taste in my mouth. Needless to say we barely drank there and probably won't be going back so not only does the bar loose the money but the massages ladies and manicure ladies etc etc all lose out on our business.
Incidentally last year small beers on the beach were 15,000 now they are 20,000 and to be honest I can get it cheaper else where I won't go out of my way to go there again! Don't make the same mistake twice............won't be wasting my time looking for Australia stuff either.....................
