Just wanted to let everyone know about this new complex. Right on what used to be the 'locals' beach in Nusa Dua, now called The Bay. Can't say that I agree with the loss of this lovely local haunt -beach and park - but it is done. However a lovely new restaurant complex has now appeared. Several restaurants already open and more to open soon. Of note are The Dirty Duck, packed every night with Chinese customers, and a great meal ( had the crispy duck) and good value.
Even more enjoyable is the Opera Club next door. There appears to be a Thai and a Japanese restaurant, but only tried the Thai, very yummy and cheap. This is a huge complex wiith a big pool and overlooking the ocean, beautiful setting.
I think the idea is that it will become a place to spend the day with food, pools, beach, views etc, and with entertainment at night. Has not officially opened yet, but soft opening was 2 months ago. Local stalls also appearing around the outskirts, beside the Bali Collection.
