friend had a fall in Bali and broke her leg. Treated at BIMC who were great and 1cover authorised payment to the hospital pronto. She had to be flown home because of complications and it took almost a week for 1 cover to approve that. (also nurse covered for trip to Aust) BUT with 1cover the policy ends the moment the wheels of the plane hit the Tarmac in Australia. Ambulance, opening St Johns reception after hours etc etc were not covered. They also refused to cover out of pocket expenses in Bali. This was considerable for the week. paying hospital for meals and incidentals. Because it took a week to approve her to come home, infection had set in and she was treated for a week in Perth before they could operate.
Nothing for the disability she now suffers.
With 1cover you get operated in Bali on a broken leg. Wait until it heals, then hit them for disability before you leave. Nothing back in Australia.
