For that reason, for the "corporate beggars" a regular supply of new babies are made available to replace those who may be getting older and less of an incentive as a begging tool.
Many times young kids have begged from us with one hand behind their back with an ice cream or similar in it.
Force of habit I guess.
Have your lovely meal and don't let this spoil the experience.
There are ways to help people genuinely in need but hand outs on the street are not generally helpful to anyone.
