Bluebirds have TAKSI and TAXI on their signs.
As stated make sure they have a meter. Make sure the meter is on first. Don't shut the door until the meter is on.
Wife got in a "Ngurah Rai" Taxi in Feb. the driver refused to put meter on & When it stopped they got out and he demanded a ridiculous price. She paid the appropiate price and left. The same taxi mob refused to put the meter on the same trip, so as the door was open I just got out again.
I honestly believe most aussies Tip so why do a lot of drivers want to charge stupid prices. It is costing them driving around and around. I just don't get it.
