We were there in June and loved Mona Lisa. Heard rave reviews before we went and even tried to get in when we were there 2 years ago but was booked out the night we tried. Now we know why. Went twice in 7 nights. Great meals and cheaper than most restuarants close by. Warung Pregina lovely as well and would of gone back a second time if we were there longer. Also on recommendation went to Sale e Pepe and loved it so much went back a second time. Better than massimos we thought. But did stop at the gelato bar at massimos afterwards. Also went to Lilla warung, nice sate's but if with kids remember to say not spice. Little bird warung nice meals, nasi goreng the best and a big meal. The last 2 were so cheap. Lilla warung $10 for mains and drinks for 3 people. Went to the porch cafe for breakfast one morning and loved it that much we went back the next day. Great meals and so big the second day we shared. Would of liked to go back for lunch one day too but ran out of time. So many restaurants to try it that area. A great bar to relax and watch sport is Barb's sports bar in the same area. Owned and run by aussies (Ian and Barb). Great place with friendly staff very welcoming and cold beer. Did find a recommended silver shop called Bali happy. Heaps of earings and pendants and 50% like someone else said on this forum (my 10 year old daughter loved this shop but also heaps for adults to buy here). Also further north was Bali Taza, no signs up to say the name of the shop though, but easy to see all the spices and teas/coffees inside the shop (not a stall. Can't wait to be in sanur again!!!
