Agree with you completely Goblock.If it wasn't for the Javanese Bali would cease to function overnight.The Bali governor has been trying to enforce a moratorium on the building of more hotels as he is a man of rare vision but the officials in The Badung Regency (the area around Kuta) refuse to comply and just keep approving more and more hotels as they believe this broadens the tax base (read allows them to keep trousering bribes).Also, unbelievably all these crappy 3 star hotels that are being thrown up everywhere, like Fave or Grandmas, are not even classified as hotels but rather Condotels, go figure.
