I contacted Putu from TIC Bali when I first heard about this. He knew nothing of it, so he rang his contact at Dolphin Lodge who assured him that it was business as usual.
All the online sites are agents apparently. The only way to book directly with Dolphin Lodge is via phone. I have no idea why the online booking agent is giving that reply but Putu assures me it's business as usual. And since Putu has done the right thing by me a few times in the past, I'm happy to take him at his word.
He got our Taro elephant ride booking changed on the morning we were due to be picked up when one of our party came down overnight with Bali Belly. Pick up due around 8.30am - Putu arranged a 3 day postponement at 7.30am. Saved us from losing 50% in cancellation fees!
He's a champion in my book.
