Was I ever worried about losing 'IT'?
Well the moment we hopped off the flight up from Perth and we found our selves cramming into a shuttle bus to be ferried over to immigrassi, then queuing for our VOA while the diligent clerk stamped about a million cards before serving us to the queues waiting for one of two Xray machines (the third was 'out of order') and then jumping into our lift in a car park with three lines of cars trying to get out onto the main road in one lane...then the slooooow drive through Tuban into Kuta and to the Adi Dharma...a period that if it happened back 'home' you would be writing letters of complaint to all and sundry...yet here...its 'no problem'.
We were back.
Adi Dharma checked us into our favorite room in a flash...and then we were off walking the way to Harris resort (Benesari/Poppies II) to see our son and his girlfriend.
They were good...heading home the next day with a million stories and in my sons words (first overseas trip without his family) 'I had the most amazing time).
His tip...the WA sirloin at Kori's in Poppies II...he is a strapping 19 year old who like to eat beef....so take that as a good tip!
Next morning we hired a scooter, did some shopping (Bintangs, water, mixers for the Jim Beam etc)...then spent the next 4-5 hours beside (and in) the pool.
Then we charged off to Legian to the Captain Cook to se my mate (the owner) John. He wasnt there to we went to Champs to watch the footy - wife had a GREAT Club sandwich and I had an 'ok' Cap Cay. Beer was cold.
Back to the Captain Cook - met up with John...caught up on all the goss...drank a few more binnies then off to Kimmys Bar for Sunset.
Always made to feel welcome, perfect sunset, nice cold beer, good music and the wife (Anne) caught up with Anna Bananas and number 23 - the most lovely lady you ever would want to meet.
After that it got blurry...went back to our room...and woke up this morning (good breakie at Adi Dharma) - but ummmm no scooter keys...uh oh...
That will be another story...see you all
