First thanks to all you formites, I have been travelling to Bali for 11 years now and never fail to find new place to visit each time.
Spent the first week at the Villarisi Hotel in Legian, the staff were awesome. It is an older hotel but clean and cheap and ticked every box for us. Day trips were off to Lovina for 11 hours with hot springs, Budist monastry, git git falls to name a few along the way.
Many massages and foot scrubs at Casey;s in Douglas Lane in Legian, she is fantastic and her staff very dedicated. Plenty of shopping for the grandkids, really could have gone crazy but had to think of the dreaded weight factor.
Off to Benoa harbour for snorkeling, then a trip to the Turtle conservation place on Serangan island where we were able to feed and pick up the turtles and interact with other animals, then seafood lunch at Jimbaran Bay. We did the day trip to Ubud and stopped at the Suspension Bridge which is at Camphuan at the end of Jalan Raya Ubud (the main road) at the bottom of a steep hill. Stopped for lunch at Murnis. It is a lovely, several level restaurant, the food was excellent and well worth a stop.
Second week
2 more friends arrived over so we moved into a Villa. Hidden Villa 3. It is an older Villa but roomy and all you would ever need. The staff are awesome and always there to look after anything for you, Made is great and made sure our stay was excellent. Went to Biku Rest. at Seminyak for high tea and that would have to be the highlight of our trip. The scones and cream are to die for, the scones were so light and warm. Would recommend this place as a No 1 on my list.
Bought 3 suits for the my boss from Brisbane tailor in the lane next to the all seasons off Padma Ultra. The work done was excellent and I am still employed. Watched many sunsets down the beach and just generally unwound and enjoyed. If you want a great feed on the beach front try the snapper at Niksoma it will just melt in your mouth and NO bones. Have already booked for March/April next year and cant wait
