Just came back from one of the best holidays yet !! 17 perfect days no rain what so ever!
Flew Virgin and never again..... we paid one of the higher priced flexi fares from Sydney , sure enough it was Easter but over $1100 each person it wasn't cheap .
Firstly the plane was in maintenance so had to use another , sure it was new but we paid extra for legroom but no seat reclines so you are stuck at a very weird position and if you have lower back problems good luck !! the food they served us was a small wrap with vegetable , chocolate , one wine and only one coffee and don't ask for more !! Also was suppose to get entertainment but none on the flight so all the extra money we paid was totally wasted , they ran out of water and cups . Flight home just as bad no seats recline again you are stuck in a weird position and to top it off we had to fly around Sydney due to fog for 1 hour ... I am still trying to get over my lower back pain because of the seats so warning everyone ... take a small pillow or neck pillow and stuff behind your back .Garuda is now the go and thank god our November Bali trip is booked with them .
ACCOMMODATION
Thank god this was perfect !!! 16 Kejora Villa right on Sanur Beach you open your gate and walk a few steps open another gorgeous front gate and you hit the boardwalk right next to Bennos and the Sindhu Market .It was absolutely beautiful cannot fault one thing , Vanessa the owner was an absolute delight and very good at what she does , the staff fabulous. Loved the private chairs on the beach which we spent many hours on . The water was crystal clear each day and just beautiful to swim in .The pool in the villa was amazing and really you have to stay there to appreciate the villa!! All amazing restaurants within walking distance.
We hired bikes for the whole period and rode everywhere even on the roads , everyone looks out for you and boy is it alot of fun after a few bintangs !!!We will be back .....

MASSIMOS - Still fabulous Gelato and Italian food

Kesumas ... still cheap and fantastic
The Beach Cafe - Mexican and Indonesian ... fabulous !
The restaurant near giant prawn - great seafood and ribs !!
and our newest find is a new Japanese restaurant in front of Segara Hotel on the beach called Minami apparently another one in Ubud ... this restaurant was sensational the best Japanese I have ever had my husband even had a icecream fruit salad made out kidney beans , avocado and papaw weird but it worked ... its a must .
Plus many more .... i think we ate our way around Sanur !!
SHOPPING
Went to Seminyak as I do like nice things but it would be cheaper to buy in Paddington at home , my daughter was very dissapointed this time , so we bought nothing and couldn't wait to get out . It was hot no breeze and really dirty ... I use to love Seminyak but not anymore.
Bought alot from Hardys for everyday and of course our daily needs ... you really don't need to bring anything with you all is in Hardys and very cheap .I shopped so much that I know have a loyalty card from them !!
Barito Leather - had the most amazing knee length suede two tone coat made all from a picture this cost !$150 ... and 2 pairs of ostrich leather ballet flats .
My daughter had a great formal dress made by Bali Sun Tailor for $70 again copied from a picture ... it is to die for !!
Shopped alot at Andy Rissa - love this shop and all the silver shops for jewellery.
Discovery Mall in Kuta was great for fake hermes leather bags all about $170 but beautiful full leather !!.
SPA
AYU SPA at the back of Luhtus beach front restaurant is great had hair dyed , foils for daughter , facials , massages and treatments there great service and perfect with foils very natural and great colours they have great prices.
TOURS
We have been to Bali many times so only a few ..
Bali Safari Park .... worth every cent the getting up close and personal with Lelau the orangutang and Ellie the Elephant was amazing and the Safari tour is great only buy the basic package it fine...
Singaraja - hot springs haven't been there in 20 years so loved it bought some gorgeous crochet clothes for kids and beautiful sarongs.
Husband played all the golf places and loved it . expensive but worth it thou Bali Handira is really run down and in desperate need of a complete overhaul !
Take Travellan ... each day we had no sickness at all in fact perfect I swear it helped.
Very quiet hardly no tourist anywhere , it was very strange most restaurants where empty and even Discovery Mall was quiet
I have to say this was one of our best trips ever !!
I'm back in November for toolies !!! our children are staying in a villa in Legian and we as doting mothers are going in case they need help !!! ( only using this as an excuse to husbands ) ha ! ha ! We are staying once again in Sanur and can't wait .
