No microwave is less than $20. I bought one about a year ago and paid about Rp1.300.000.
The power of them is less that in most countries because of the low wattage most houses have available and so take longer to cook, around twice as long as used to in Australia.
As another example, electric kettles in most countries are about 1300 watts but in Indonesia most are below 300 watts so take four times as long to boil.
A standard house wattage in Bali is 900 watt and that may be shared with others so be very careful not to blow the circuit breaker.
