There are lots of places with WIFI access for free. I used Bagus Pub whilst having a bintang a few times. An unlocked modem is cheap $24.95 plus PP on ebay.au. "tp link." others makes $21 up and about $5 post Then you can use back home in McDonalds etc. Elsewhere on the forum they mention them near the Bintang supermarket but cannot remember a price. I think these were with phone sim use. will give you ab idea of home price. Mine available
