Travelled for the first time on Pacific Blue out of Melbourne with my 2 sisters. Asked for and was given exit row seats on the way over. Flight left on time and arrived in Bali at 1.30 in the afternoon instead of the normal midnight with Jetstar. Straight through and out and on our way to Seminyak in about 20 minutes.

First 10 days stayed at The Breezes Resort, really liked the pool, the staff and yummy breakfast each morning. Room was great and the shower divine (those great big shower heads).

My sisters did the hotel bike ride in the morning for about $9 and both enjoyed it and I did the in-house cooking class for about $30 and loved it. There was only myself and another lady and we helped in cooking 6 dishes, soup, satay, fish, dessert and then sat down at a lovely decorated table to eat it all with a nice glass of wine. We were also given an apron, hat, pen and a cookbook of all the dishes we made.

Also visited Biaritz Warehouse and then onto Biku Teahouse, where we had both the Traditional and Asian tasting plates.
Some of the places we ate at included, Delcious Onion, Menu, Seaside and Zanzibar.

Our second leg we stayed at the Bali Garden Hotel, rooms were very spacious. Originally we were placed on the road side and found it to be very noisy, so we upgraded to a Deluxe Room and moved all our luggage across the corridor but it was like being in a different world and having a big persons bed instead of the rollaway certainly was worth the extra $10. Breakfast was very average I thought but apart from that it was a nice place to stay.

Had our usual night at Bali Agung in Poppies 1 and 7 jugs later managed to stumble home - we always have a great night here.

During our 3 weeks we only used a taxi twice but I enjoy the walking and probably would have walked 50 to 60kms and the added bonus was losing that 5kgs.

Flight home also fantastic - first time ever luggage was first off the plane in Melbourne and straight through customs (out in about 15 minutes). It's bloody cold though.
