Had no problems finding gluten free food this time in Bali. Discovered that ABC and other sauces [ketchap manis, oyster sauce, etc] have GANDUM listed as an ingredient - wheat - but some brands are without it, eg bango. So i took my own bottle with me if wanting nasi goreng. Plenty of sweet market goodies available made from rice flour - kelapon, lak-lak, pisang rai [rice, banana fritters, coconut and palm sugar - YUM], and of course lots of puffed rice biscuity things. Everyone to whom i said 'saya alergi tepung terigu - i have allergy to wheat flour', was very respectful and quick to point out what i could eat.
Tekor reastaurant on the beach road just south of Jalan 66 is a must if you like good balinese food in a scenic location. The risjaffel had 20 amazing little things to taste, 60,000 each, minimum 2 people.
