I agree Rorope, it is greatly unfair to target the Forumite who has pre booked the Barong in all good faith, has probably researched it (to some extent) and more than likely it suited their Budget.

Also sometimes people think that if they can choose a cheaper (but clean)place they can afford to stay a few days longer. Everybody deserves a chance at a holiday regardless of their financial situation.

In March I booked the Champlung Mas (in a laneway running between Melasti and Padma)for similar above reasons.(Wanting a longer stay, and to use my money for Charity work) The Deluxe room was disgusting as were the other rooms.. I took many photos of the green mould around the door frames and coming up from the skirting boards. Unpleasant as mould is, it is also can be a health hazard in prolonged circumstances. Mosquitos were aplenty!
I had to keep curtains closed and lights on in the day, due to the closeness of major buildings and construction workers on site directly from my window and balcony.

I had also booked through a Travel Agent, and sent them the photos I had taken telling them to "do a favour" and not send clients there.
A new Champlung Mas Hotel is now being built next door, so things should improve in the future.

I was fortunate to have a daughter (in Australia) who was able to "bail" me out next morning and move me into another ( yes, more expensive) hotel
That will be my last try at a "budget" hotel but each time I go now I always look out, and physically view, potential new places to stay.
Not everyone has that opportunity of returning regularly to Bali and being able to do so.
