Now in sanur again...
The day starts with yoga/stretches on the beach or in the garden. Then a bike ride [hired for $3/day] along the paved beach path, maybe a swim, then juice/coffee/eggs/toast/fruit. Bit of shopping at market or hardy's or along the street. Eating lunch from a local stall at market is $1 each, or beach café $3-5. Yum. Read/sleep/massage [$5-10/hour] then its time 4 another bike ride then dinner. Aaahh!
Spent 4 days at lipah, fishing village on east coast, lots of small hotels and café but barely an aussie, few europeans, so v quiet..
lipah is v much like bali of old, like sanut sshh, don't tell anyone so it's not overtaken by the hoards! it's a long drive to get to the east coast, but there's beautiful scenery on the way.
Snorkelling and swimming filled our days. we hired a motor bike - no license needed here in the country, about $6 day. We visited a local family we'd met last year, ate with them, went sailing, gave toys to son and helped daughter with english and computer lessons - w 've arranged to pay 4 her schooling as mum sick and not much work 4 dad - lovely people.
Bali a v good place 2 spend winter ..., checking out options 4 longer stay next year!
