ATMs give a reasonable rate....however check with your bank what they charge. I pay $4 per transaction, ie about Rp36000 so I only use at an ATM that lets you draw out 3million (one on main road about 200 metres south of Hardy's on opposite side, just south of croc shop).
Money changers , be suspicious; go for "no commission" otherwise there are charges that aren't obvious. Watch for any that offer small denomination bills (20K) as they try to confuse you with numbers.
Don't know the one near Nutz but I use one in South sanur...north of Trophy and Mago restaurant a short alley with a money changer 2 shops in. Seem to be very good and honest (after about 40 visits).
