Bugga, bugga, bugga!!! My trav buddy and I have been planning the trip of a lifetime to China, but now, for personal reasons she can't come. I wouldn't be at all comfortable going to China for the first time by myself, and I'm not the group tour type, so China is on the backburner for now...... So I guess it's off to my favourite place in the world, The Island of The Gods, for my first solo trip :)in early November...
Anyone who has read my previous posts will know that I have become a budget traveller (not always from necessity... I really like the feel of small local hotels, the personal service and getting to know the locals)
I've never been to Bali for more than 10 days, so my expected 3 - 4 week solo adventure will need a bit of input from the forum... I have a driver friend who I have used in the recent past and am happy to employ for my transport needs..... What I would like are comments and suggestions on my extremely flexible itinery, and reccommendations for accommodation....
Legian - 5 nights - catch up with my friend Ayu in the markets and visit all my old favourites....... where is the S&S bar so I don't have to watch the sunset by myself?
Ubud - 4 - 5 nights - places for a single late 40's F to stay (budget) eat, and things to do....
Candi Dasa/East coast - 4 - 5 nights - places for a single late 40's F to stay (budget) eat, and things to do....
Lovina - 4 - 5 nights - places for a single late 40's F to stay (Agung Villa is looking like a good option??) (budget) eat, and things to do....
Sanur - 7 days + or - 1 - Is the first place I went to in Bali (Puri Dalem) Really like the look of The Ugly Duckling for a solo stay for a good relax and chill out with friendly hosts and travellers....
Maybe head over to Lembongan for a few days and see something really different (my cousin has a house there).......
All suggestions and reccommendations greatly appreciated :)
