The people who provided my Simpati sim card (outside Bintang Smkt) did whatever was necessary to ensure I didn't get those spam messages, without asking - part of the service for the extra cost (Rp200K + Rp50K credit as well as the usual Rp5000).

Husband got his card elsewhere & was bombarded with spam. He messed around with the phone for a while & fixed the problem.

Go to a sim card provider & ask them to fix it if you can't do it yourself. Shouldn't cost much if anything if you go to the place you bought it from. Any place should be able to do it.
