The Herald Sun newspaper today reported that Jetstar flight attendants tell of dangers in the sky, that they are "drunk with tiredness". Some crew, forced to fly to Bali and return on the same day in a 15 hour marathon, complain that they are suffering "slurred speech and can't keep their eyes open while landing."

In another incident with Jetstar, a passenger aged 86 died of a heart attack in the plane's toilet on a flight to Singapore. A fellow passenger who worked frantically to save him was confronted with an attempt by the airline to double charge her for a new flight when she tried to resume her journey.

Then there was the woman on a Jetstar flight from Singapore to Perth who tucked into a seafood nasi lemak, only to find a 1cm beetle larvae in her meal. She alerted the crew and asked for her money back for the meal, only to be told she would have to apply online for a refund and was instead offered a replacement meal.
Jetstar has since withdrawn the menu item from all flights and a spokeswoman said the airline has launched an investigation.
Selamat makan!
