Air Freight or DHL

I have had some shopping bags printed with my business name on them and bought 2 lights. Because of the volume and weight will cost too much with DHL. Has anyone used Qantas Air Freight, and if value is only $500.00 do i have to pay customs/duty/brokerage fee back here in Sydney.
