Self righteous comment Ibumanis. You may not, but very many people unfortunately still need to smoke. They are not going to smoke in the airport or on the aeroplane, but how do the have a smoke once they arrive home without a lighter. I suppose they buy another one, to replace the one that shouldn't have been taken off them in the first place.
In Australia, the regulations still are that one lighter can be carried on board the plane per passenger. Nothing has changed here!
Security in Asia of course maybe different in many ways, including having $350 stolen out of your wallet, from one side of the exray machine to the other side. Guaranteed it happened to me leaving Phuket airport. No-one gave a damn (except me of course)!
