We did this same bike trip about a week ago. Had a terrific day. 24kms of easy riding. Gusti, one of our guides on the day, was exceptionally patient with me. Not being exactly young anymore it was a bit of a struggle riding up those small hills. He rode his bike and pushed mine while I walked. Once he even pushed the bike while I was still on it!!
Pura Tirta Empul, the holy water temple north of Ubud, is worth a visit.
I have used Mayang jewellers on the corner at Kuta Square, very pleased with what they made for me.
