three weeks in Thailand and used Expedia for all our bookings. I suppose it is a matter of opinion but I booked and paid about 6 months in advance for four different accommodations and liked the idea of having it all paid for in plenty of time to get together more spending money. Expedia takes the money on booking. We got some fantastic bargains with the knowledge that we were all paid up ages before our trip. I did a lot of research prior to our booking so I was pretty much assured that all the accommodation would be good - and it was!
