We stayed there last year in Sept. and loved it. It's not 4 - 5 star, but it's great value for money. We had deluxe pool view rooms which are very large, with the only problem being, they lack decent lighting in them which was not an issue with us. The location is about 100mr towards Legian from the monument and not far to walk to either Kuta or Legian. The pool out the back is large with plenty of deck chairs which always seemed available when we walked out there. The breakfast is basic and if you want eggs, you have to pay, or there is a cheap restaurant straight across the road if you like. We are staying there again in November for 10 days and hoping to get to Bali again in April next year for our 30th anniversary & if we get there, we'll stay at Matahari Bungalows. We have found a great hotel here that suits us as a hotel to go back to regularly.
As far as I know about the Tune hotel, it's more of a 1 or 2 night quick stay, not a longer term proposition.
