Hubby and I went for a short getaway...no kids yay We flew premium economy with PB going over. In my opinion it wasn't really worth the extra money. We lined up at check in and stood there waiting waiting and more waiting until I finally got their attention,in this time heaps of economy passengers were checked in before us,they did apologise. We were in row 1 and the smell from the toilet half way through the flight was bad,I would have quite happily sat further down the plane haha On the way home we flew business with Garuda and that was worth every cent,brilliant! I am in trouble now as hubby reckons that is the only way he will fly from now on...thats all good until we take our four children with us again,a tad bit expensive I think eek
We stayed at Ziva Boutique Villas in Seminyak,it was sensational.Beautiful villa,massive private pool,excellent service,cooked breakfast in your villa every morning which was huge.We had only stayed in hotels before but after staying in a villa..no hotels for us! :)
We didn't venture too far we did the normal shopping,eating and drinking cocktails thing. We were doing some shopping down poppies buying all the things our kids had asked for...definately helps with the guilty feelings for leaving the kids at home hehe.While shopping we had some young girls come up to us selling their braided wrist bands which we ended up with oodles of as I couldn't say no...Well one of them said she was thirsty so I bought her and her friend a drink and something to eat,off they went happy. Hmm bad mistake because not 10 minutes later I was surrounded by LOTS of children haha
While grabbing a last minute handbag hubby spotted these trick wallets,when you open them a big flame comes out, yes I know some men just never grow up lol After paying for his wallet he musn't have zipped his moneybag up properly because some boys had come up to him trying to sell the dreaded wrist bands.He politely told them we had oodles of them while at the same time still getting instructions on how to use his trick wallet. Still in his excitement at his find he really wasn't paying attention and one of the boys grabbed a wad of notes out of his moneybag,dropped the notes but had the assistance of of his little mates to pick them up quickly and run. He said it happened so fast...little buggers,definately a lesson learnt,they aren't all as sweet as they look lol
We did lots of relaxing,swimming and cocktails by the pool...oh I love that life! We also went to "gold street" OMG I was in my glory!I bought a gold bangle,I could have bought sooo much more but purposely restrained myself as I wanted to have it valued in Australia before I bought too much. I had it valued today, and am extremely happy,I will definately be visiting gold street again hehe
Ah back to reality now, time to start planning the next trip...with the children lol :))
