There is an article about this in this weeks Bali Discovery, Bali Edition. I am not computer literate so cannot cut & paste the article. It seems that a lot of these villas are illegal and do not have secuirty. The police and banjar will be doing spot checks to check on foreign guests not registered. They believe that is helping to escalate crime.
