Stay at Pondok Pitaya. They have an amazing pool right on the ocean. Large and with an excellent sun lounging area.
You can walk out of your room and dive in or go and dip your toes in that great ocean. Great for surfers, but I am in my sixties and stayed there many times as I just love the relaxation and the buzz from the variety of people there. Food is good and cheap, rooms are 200,00rp per night per person, They only take cash, and the nearest ATM is half an hour away. Balian is so worth a visit. Just Google, book, and enjoy
