We stayed at Pondok Pisces....loved our stay here, Balian is a surfy joint...black sand beach and brown muddy water comes out of the river (specially after rain!) and makes the surf look a bit beige!!!
No pool where we stayed but Pondok Pisces has a second place down on the river bank....very peaceful and has a small pool.
I think for swimming it looks a bit dangerous ...rips..... but that is not to say you can't!!
Pondak Pitaya has a nice pool right on the beach....
We went for a walk right round the point behind Gajah (they have a nice pool!!)....stunning views, through a track and on to a long beach can't remember the name of the beach! not a soul, sorry yes a shack and some fishermen gave a a wave!
Balian for me was relaxing and interesting, loved the walks and everybody friendly....
We went for a drive to Medewi.......just sat and watched the surfers, the kids are amazing best surfers I've ever seen!! The drive was an experience in itself what a busy road!!
And had a great massage lady come to our room.......organised by the staff at Pisces, heaven!!! waffled on a bit, :) deb
