not approval as such- because they have approval to only sell 100 seats of their 156 seat aircraft so they say it is not financially viable for them.
That was the case when they first sold the flights ( I booked mine back in Nov) and it was ok for them to keep selling them knowing the rules and also knowing that the license for hedland was only temporary and had to be reviewed.
From the statement on their website they did indeed have approval to keep flying out of Hedland but based on the original rules ie 100 seats max.
I have re-booked flights with Skywest for a few days later and about $600 more all up. All good.
