I can help you with question 1. No appt needed just walk in. Don't know bout question 2. Have only even had ordinary glasses made for myself and my son. BUT I can say with certainty that so far after 3 trips and 3 different shops that the optical on the top floor of Carrefour is by far the cheapest so far for us and the fastest. Had our first set made at Kuta Optic Seis. 10 days and about $180 compared to $400 in Aus. 2nd trip I had them made in Denpasar at Ramayana Shopping Centre and again 8 days and about $150. This last trip 2 days and $100 a pair and we had 2 pair made. My sons glasses are thisk like glass bottle bases so I was skeptical about the quality after just 2 days but they are perfect, he is more than happy and so is my purse. My son is 10 and we find ourselves going thru glasses very quickly with school accidents nd such so this is great for us. My father in law had transition lenses made for his at the Denpasar store with us and he was happy.
