Yes you can hire surf boards in Kuta Beach Or at the surf school. Please be aware of board hire from the locals as they can sting you. Treat it as you would when you hire a car. as in check it out make sure you comment on every detail that's a fault dent etc. Again make surf if you do hire & something happens to the board that you are covered please be careful because people get caught out spwcially young ones who just want to get surfing ends up they are out of pocket. Or the other way is to ask at the local surf shops sometimes they can be helpful with hiring boards.
If your not sure ask someone but again when hiring boards they like hiring anything can be costly.
Again I'm sure you'll do this weigh up the cost of hire compared to buying new work out what best for you aslo if it's first time surfing i suggest asking advice from the surf school lots of them over in Bali.
