southern Balinese from the South can live in their own homes, 95% of my Balinese friends in the South are from the South and live in a compound in the South. Northern Balinese have to pay rent and usually live in a Terima Kost, mind you they are very cheap, one up the road that looks quite nice is only 200,000 per month. You say most are from the North, so you hang out with different people than I do.
